Holding Space - Mark Twain Museum · Hartford, CT · On view through Summer 2026
Broom stages richly cinematic narratives inside the preserved homes of America's most iconic artists and writers — Edward Hopper, Emily Dickinson, Jackson Pollock, Mark Twain, and others. With actors, costumes, and dramatic lighting, she transforms these historic interiors into charged, living fictions drawn from the obsessions, relationships, and creative energies that still inhabit these rooms. Part photography, part theater, part cultural excavation.
Mystical Murmurs - Fenimore Art Museum · Cooperstown, NY · Opening Fall 2026
Broom weaves together large-scale sculpture, cinematic photography, and interactive sound to explore how humans use folklore and myth to interpret the natural world. At its center is a monumental faerie ring of mushroom sculptures — a threshold between the known and the unknown. The accompanying photographs, staged in forested landscapes across all four seasons, deepen the inquiry into the stories landscapes tell us about ourselves.
